From Walls to Bridges
I'm studying in a city famous for its walls. All visitors to my city are amazed by the imposing sight of the city walls, silhouetted by the setting sun with gold and shining lines. With old, cracked bricks patched with lichen, the walls are weather-beaten guards, standing still for centuries in protecting the city.
Our ancestors liked to build walls. They built walls in Beijing, Xi'an, Nanjing and many other cities, and they built the Great Wall, which snakes through half of our country. They built walls to ward off enemies and evil spirits. This tradition has been maintained to this day as we still have many parks and schools walled off from the public. I grew up at the foot of the city walls, and I've loved them since my childhood. For a long time, walls were one of the most natural things in the world.
My perception, however, changed after a hiking trip to the Eastern Suburbs, a scenic area of my city. My classmates and I were walking with some international students. As we walked out of the city, we found ourselves flanked by taller and taller trees, which formed a huge canopy above our heads. Suddenly an international student asked me, “Where is the entrance to the Eastern Suburbs?”
“We're already in the Eastern Suburbs,” I replied.
He seemed taken aback, “I thought you Chinese have walls for everything.” His remark set off a heated debate. At one point, he likened our walled cities to “jails,” while I insisted that the Eastern Suburbs were one of the many places in China that had no walls.
That debate had no winners, but I did learn a lot from this international student. For instance, he told me that universities like Oxford and Cambridge were not surrounded by walls; the campuses were just part of the cities. I have to admit that we do have many walls in China, and as we are developing our country, we must carefully examine them, whether they are physical or intangible. We will keep some walls but tear down those that impede China's development.
Let me give you an example.
A year ago, when I was working on a term paper, I needed a book on business law and found a copy in the law school library. However, the librarian turned down my request with a cold shoulder, saying, “You can't borrow this book, you are not a student here.” In the end, I had to spend 200 yuan buying a copy; meanwhile, the copy in law school was gathering dust on the shelf.
At the beginning of this semester, I heard that my university has started not only to unify its libraries but also link them up with libraries of other universities, so my experience will not be repeated. Barriers will be replaced by bridges. Through an inter-library loan system, we will have access to books from any library. With globalization, with China integrated into the world, I believe many of these intangible walls will be knocked down.
I know globalization is a controversial issue, and it is hard to say whether it is good or bad. But one thing is for sure: it draws our attention to China's tangible and intangible walls and forces us to examine their roles in the modern world.
And how about the ancient walls in my city and other cities? Should we tear them down? Just the opposite. My city, like Beijing and other cities, is actually making a great effort to preserve the walls. These walls attract not only historians and archeologists but also many schoolchildren trying to study our history and cultural heritage. Walls have turned into bridges to our past and to the rest of the world. If the ancient builders of these walls were still alive today, they would be proud to see such great change in the role of their walls. They are now bridges that link East and West, South and North, and all countries of the world. Our cultural heritage will survive globalization.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. I've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. I've learned about the Great Wall and the Yangtze River. I've learned about Zhang Heng(张衡)and I've learned about Zheng He(郑和) says the Yellow River Civilization has vanished(消失)?I know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇迹)on this fertile land and we're still making miracles. Who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our GNP ranks No. 7 in the world? We have experienced the plunders (掠夺) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!
I once came across an American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙视) ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑战) are great, but our will is even greater.
I am Chinese. I have inherited (继承) black hair and black eyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!
尊敬的老师、亲爱的同学们：
大家好！我是来自五(2)班的毛安琪同学，今天我要演讲的主题是：争做“真善美”学子。 圣经上曾说：“拥有真、善、美的心灵是一生中最大的幸福，它使人生的每一天都灿烂。” 关于“真善美”三个字，每个人都有不同的看法，而我是这样理解的：
“真善美”中的“真”是指要真诚待人，做真实的自己，不吹嘘，不浮夸。记得我上三年级时的一节体育课，我在操场上捡到了一个钱包，因为当时没人发现，我没有及时把钱交给老师，放学回家后，我总是觉得心里不踏实，于是，把事情的经过告诉了我妈妈，妈妈知道了此事，她给我讲了“换位思考，拾金不昧”等道理，第二天我就主动把拾到的钱交给了老师，从那时起，我也懂得了“真善美的真正含义”!
“善”就是善良，是对他人无私的关爱和祝福，是来自心灵深处真诚的怜惜与同情！来到我们北师大校园，您随处可以见到这样的风景：“上学和放学时，我们的行政领导和值日老师不论日晒雨淋，都在维持着校园秩序；同学们见到老师主动问好；高年级的姐姐会扶起摔跤的小弟弟小妹妹；值日学生耐心劝导乱丢果皮纸屑的同学等等，这些都是“真善美”的体现！有人说：“给予比索取更幸福”，看到别人因自己的关爱得到了快乐，我觉得自己也很快乐，所以我们每天都要做着对别人有益的事！
“美”就是心灵美，而且我认为它不仅是外在的美，心灵的美才是真正的美！身为北师大的学子，我感到无比的幸福，因为我的身边就有一群“真善美”的代表---那就是我们尊敬的老师们！他们不是演员，却吸引着我们饥渴的目光； 他们不是歌唱家，却让知识的清泉叮咚作响； 他们不是雕塑家，却塑造着一批批青年学子的灵魂！他们是真的种子，善的信使，美的旗帜！他们是真善美的代言人！ 所以我觉得“真善美”就是爱和无私的付出！
少年智则国智，少年强则国强！亲爱的同学们，让我们携起手来，人人都成为“真善美”的现代好少年，让我们的北师大校园处处洋溢着“真善美”的芬芳吧！

these images shown above probably are what people think of programmers as, in fact, programmers indeed give us a bad impression sometimes. however, people just have a partial understanding of programmers’ life, not to mention that they can know the fun of programming. there is no doubt that programs affect all aspects of our lives in an obvious or potential way, especially they are reflected in electronic products that we use nowadays.
when you are so proud of possessing an iphone, you’d better remember that it is the program that makes you get confidence to show off the advanced mobile phones thoroughly.
when you take advantage of computers to cope with problems in life, you’d better remember that it is the program that makes you seek the convenience of computer.
when you needn’t worry about hot summer and cold winter owing to an air-conditioner, you’d better remember that it is the program that makes you share the machine’s intelligent.
when you release your pressure by playing varies of online games, you’d better remember that it is the program that makes you enjoy the great entertainment in life.
as people’s thoughts control their bodies, computer programs play a leading role in the modern times. both social progress and human evolution depend on the computer programs. in the practical application, a software consists of different programs and then combines with hardware to develop into a high-tech electronic product. there are many kinds of electronic products found everywhere in our daily life. nearly all the time do we make use of these products to conduct our passion.

当岁月的车轮驶过20xx，在这不寻常的一年里，有多少悲壮，有多少感动，有多少梦想，有多少光荣，铭记在我们的心里，写进了共和国的历史画卷里。这一路的艰辛坎坷，无一不是我们的祖国逐步富强的印记。而在经济全球化，中国一步步走向国际的今天，英语，无疑成了我们最必不可少的工具，唯有用英语武装自己，才能让世界更加了解中国，让我们的祖国，在国际化的道路上越走越稳，越走越强。
我校，中南财经政法大学，是国家“211工程”重点建设高校之一，近几年来，我校迅速发展，显示出了极大的潜力，全校师生员工团结一致，同心同德，努力把我校建设成为全国一流的人文社会科学大学。我校是一块充满朝气的沃土，治学严谨又不失活泼。天之骄子的大学生们，以朝气蓬勃的精神面貌，怀揣着理想，不断用汗水浇灌着自己的梦想；拥有社会责任心的桃李们，一直都在关心国家的前途和命运。

二、活动主题——OnTheJourney
人生是一条漫长的旅途，每个人都是天生的旅人。旅行的意义就在于，你永远不知道下一站你将在哪里，你会遇见什么样的事物，未知的未来激励着我们不断的前行，探索。在旅途中，我们会看见漫山兀自盛放的野花；我们会听到夜莺嘴里飞出的婉转歌声；我们会闻到久经沉淀的檀香；有时我们必须独自面对密布的荆棘；更多的时候我们会与同行的朋友并肩作战，踏浪前行，看到那一盏导航灯在迷雾里渐渐清晰。
20xx年，冬奥会赛道上中国运动健儿们的身影划破长空落入只属于他们的舞池，赛场上冉冉升起的五星红旗染红了皑皑的冰雪；世博拉起帷幕，人类文明之大成齐聚上海，叩响上海和中国的腾飞之门。
然而，我们和中国都还在路上。
旅途中的溪水，绕过花草，跳过涧石，从一切中走过，欣赏而不占有。
旅途中的我们，同中国一起成长。
有时，我们都太专注于赶路，忘记在自己的行囊中留下了美好的回忆，忘记回头看看曾经踩下的脚印，感受曾经留下的心情。为此，外语协会将中南财经政法大学外国语学院英语文化节之湖北省大学生“MyStory”英语演讲大赛主题定为OnTheJourney，希望有社会责任感的大学生关注中国的命运，说出自己同中国的成长故事，把自己旅途中的精彩同每一个人分享，在夏夜习习的凉风和淡淡的回忆中做短暂的停留休整后，我们再重新启程，我们知道，在充满希望和未知的20xx年，我们会经历更多令人心惊动魄的美丽。
三、活动口号——由此开始，随处可往（startheregoanywhere)
有一个青年，天生就是个舞者，但他现在并不打算开始跳舞，他听说有一个就罗陀斯的地方，那里是跳舞者的天堂，那里开满玫瑰花，从此他就踏上了寻找罗陀斯之旅。一日，他遇见一位老者，他向老者说明来意，询问罗陀斯在哪里？这位老者答道：“这里就是罗陀斯！就在这里跳舞，这里有玫瑰花，就在这里跳舞！”
由此开始，随处可往
四、活动目的
1、由我校外国语学院主办、外语协会承办举行的“中南财经政法大学外国语学院英语文化节暨第六届湖北省大学生MYSTORY英语演讲大赛”旨在进一步改善我校英语学习氛围的同时，借此契机加强与湖北省其他高校沟通和交流，并协作搭建一个可以让有梦想、有志向的大学生来展示自己、提高自己的平台。
2、本届英语演讲大赛的主题：ONTHEJOURNEY更是激励着每一个正努力前进中的同学要在人生的旅途中不断充实自己，提高自己。而本次活动的举办也正是为了能够让同学们在比赛中逐渐提高自己的能力，充实自己的业余生活。
3、开展此类学术性的活动，我们不仅可以提高学生英语学习的积极性，从而推进我校的英语教学工作，而且我们还能在此过程中与湖北其他高校加强沟通和联系，在沟通和联系中共同进步、共同发展。同时，本次活动的举行也有助于今后各高校之间开展其他学术交流和合作。
五、可行性分析
1、本次活动在我校外国语学院的帮助和支持下，扩大了mystory的活动影响力，能吸引更多的同学积极参与。同时，有外国语学院的。加入，能让外语协会的全体成员更有信心更加认真负责的完成mystory的顺利进行。
2、本届mystory扩大了比赛范围，由本校内举办扩大为在湖北大学生共同的文化节日，增强了活动的号召力，扩宽了自我展现的平台，对在校大学生更加具有吸引力。
3、比赛的评审将会由学校的资深老师和外教担任，同时还很可能会引进大众评审，保证了比赛的公正性和权威性。
4、学习英语已成为当代大学生乃至全社会的一种时尚，顺应时代潮流，大力开展此次活动，为本校大学生提供了锻炼英语口才，展现个人风采的平台。
5、外语协会已经有十余年的历史，不断的成长，使其在举办比赛方面拥有较为成熟的经验和方法。具有举办大型比赛的实力。
6、在此之前，外语协会已经成功举办五届“MYSTORY”英语演讲大赛，不仅均获得圆满的成功，而且增强了大赛在学校的影响力。有了前面的经验，相信这次的“MYSTORY”一定会更加出色。
7、各社团组织精彩不断，创造了活跃的校园氛围，为本次活动提供了良好的客观环境。
8、此次比赛将是我校规模最大，影响最广的英语演讲比赛，是弘扬我校园文化，加强大学生思想道德建设的重要活动。外语协会将全力以赴，将比赛各项工作出色完成。
9、同时外协的会员将近几千人，这使得该比赛拥有坚实的参赛基础。并有助于学校挖掘有实力有能力的英语方面人才。

八、活动流程
本次大赛分为报名、预赛、初赛、复赛和决赛五个环节，以下分别就每个环节的比赛流程加以说明。
（一）、报名
1、时间：3月17日至3月19日
2、地点：初步设滨湖、图书馆前和环湖三个报名点。
（二）、预赛
1、时间：3月25日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：每位选手准备1分钟左右的演讲，内容可自行决定。当天的比赛顺序按照选手到场的签到顺序排列。
3、选拔标准：预赛实行批准制，评委可根据选手表现情况自行打断演讲，并决定选手是否进入初赛。三位评委中若有两名表示同意，则该选手可进入初赛。
4、赛场设定：3个赛场，每场中3位评委。预赛中选取50人进入初赛。
（三）、初赛
1、时间：4月8日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：
（1）每位选手准备3分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。
（2）评委就选手演讲内容进行提问，每位选手作1分钟以内的问答。
（3）比赛时选手按照事先的编号顺序进行。
3、选拔标准：初赛实行批准制，评委根据选手演讲和作答情况综合评审，三位中若有两位表示同意，则该选手可进入复赛。
4、赛场设定：两个赛场，每场中3位评委。复赛按照50进30进行淘汰。
（四）、复赛
1、时间：5月6日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：
（1）每位选手准备2分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。
（2）选手随机抽一副图片进行陈述，时间不超过2分钟。后一名选手在前一名选手作看图陈述时进行自己的准备。
（3）比赛时选手按照事先的编号顺序进行。
3、选拔标准：复赛实行评分制，每位评委根据选手演讲和陈述情况打两个分数计算出每位评委的总分后取平均值。按照得分高低排列名次。排名前十名的选手可进入决赛。
4、赛场设定：一个赛场，5位评委。复赛按照30进10进行淘汰。
（五）、决赛
1、时间：5月25日晚6：30至8：30
2、要求：决赛分为三轮进行
第一轮：
（1）、每位选手准备2分钟的演讲，内容必须结合大赛主题且演讲时须脱稿。评委根剧选手演讲情况进行分别进行打分，并当场排名。
（2）、根据演讲的排名情况，第一名选手直接晋级第三轮，最后一名选手被淘汰，得优秀奖。其余八名选手进入第二轮。
第二轮：选手较量赛
（1）、随机抽取选手编号将八名选手分为4组。
（2）、每组抽取屏幕上的一个数字，每个数字后有一道场景题，选手经过准备后须就该场景作2分钟以内的自由对话（freetalk环节）。
（3）、场内的9名大众评审分别给每组中自己喜欢那位选手投票，每组中得票高的4名选手进入第三轮，得票低的4名选手进入“复活环节”。
（4）“复活环节”：即4名选手分别给出一句话的自我陈述或总结，由在座评委讨论决定其中1名可“复活”并进入第三轮。未复活的3名选手被淘汰，得优秀奖。
第三轮：
（1）、最终有6名选手晋级，按照持有号码从大到小排列的顺序依次抽取一道题，作2分钟之内的即兴演讲。
（2）、评委就每位选手的即兴演讲和之前的表现打两个分数并计算总分，将每位评委的总分进行合计后取平均值。
（3）、按照最终得分高低将6名选手排名，最后决出一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名。
（4）、给第一轮中排名第一的选手颁发“最佳演讲者”称号。

七、演讲比赛
（一）比赛规则
1、比赛以公平公正为原则，以丰富和活跃校园生活、促进交流与沟通为宗旨。
2、大赛分为定题演讲（自我介绍和话题演讲），即兴演讲个环节。依据评委打分计算出成绩，最后颁发一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和参与奖。
（二）活动流程
1、主持人开场（介绍选手情况，到场评委，嘉宾，流程评分制及与观众互动形式）

3、定题演讲按选手号码顺序进行定题演讲
每位选手先进行较全面的自我介绍，后进行演讲、时限3~5分钟
每位选手定题演讲完毕，由评委老师根据选手演讲内容进行现场提问，时限1~2分钟每位选手演讲完毕，评委按评分细则评分，即刻统计。
主持人公布成绩（每4位公布一次成绩）
4、中场休息与观众游戏互动（猜词），对参与观众，发放礼品。

5、即兴演讲：
（1）主持人：介绍评分制
（2）选手按抽签顺序上场，自己选择电脑屏幕上的题目序号，进行答题演讲。时限3分钟以内。（30秒考虑）

评委明确给出每部分评分（评分为整数），由工作人员进行最后加总，去掉最高分与最低分，取平均分为选手比赛成绩，按成绩排名分别获一、二、三等奖。

1、参赛者为每班全体班干部和英语课代表，必须提前到场，到指定区域就坐。班长负责会场纪律。

My name is Dongqi Yang from china, I am horror to be here today and I am very happy to receive this award.
As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggest challenge is English,I remembered that when I come here first time, there is a party in the house of my home stay. During the time, they played jokes and they laughed all the time, do you know how embarrassed that is, everyone laughed except you. So I pretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyone laugh and I laugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about that and asked me “do you understand?”， and I answered “no”， “So why do you laugh?” ”because I do not want to be embarrassed”!
But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because they encourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home, play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?” she said:” because I said so!”

四、活动形式：
本次趣味英语演讲比赛旨在提高口语表达能力，形式多样，可以演讲、朗诵、小品、话剧和歌曲等。
五、活动流程：
本次活动共分为初赛和决赛两个环节。
（一）初赛：
时间：xx年四月25、26。
地点：九楼大学生活动中心。
形式：召集所有报名选手进行抽签，决定出场顺序，对每位（队）选手的演讲有严格的时间限制（5分钟），根据相应的评分规则评选出12名选手参与决赛。
（二）决赛：
时间：xx年5月10日。
地点：图书馆三楼多功能厅。
形式：所有进决赛的选手进行抽签决定出场顺序，评委根据每位（队）选手的场上表现作出相应的评分，最后根据评分的具体情况排出名次。

i have the answer to a question that we've all asked. the question is, why is it that the letter x represents the unknown? now i know we learned that in math class, but now it's everywhere in the culture -- the x prize, the x-files, project x, tedx. where'd that come from?
about six years ago i decided that i would learn arabic, which turns out to be a supremely logical language. to write a word or a phrase or a sentence in arabic is like crafting an equation, because every part is extremely precise and carries a lot of information. that's one of the reasons so much of what we've come to think of as western science and mathematics and engineering was really worked out in the first few centuries of the common era by the persians and the arabs and the turks.
this includes the little system in arabic called al-jebra. and al-jebr roughly translates to “the system for reconciling disparate parts.“ al-jebr finally came into english as algebra. one example among many.
the arabic texts containing this mathematical wisdom finally made their way to europe -- which is to say spain -- in the 11th and 12th centuries. and when they arrived there was tremendous interest in translating this wisdom into a european language.
but there were problems. one problem is there are some sounds in arabic that just don't make it through a european voice box without lots of practice. trust me on that one. also, those very sounds tend not to be represented by the characters that are available in european languages.
here's one of the culprits. this is the letter sheen, and it makes the sound we think of as sh -- “sh.“ it's also the very first letter of the word shalan, which means “something“ just like the the english word “something“ -- some undefined, unknown thing.
now in arabic, we can make this definite by adding the definite article “al.“ so this is al-shalan -- the unknown thing. and this is a word that appears throughout early mathematics, such as this 10th century derivation of proofs.
the problem for the medieval spanish scholars who were tasked with translating this material is that the letter sheen and the word shalan can't be rendered into spanish because spanish doesn't have that sh, that “sh“ sound. so by convention, they created a rule in which they borrowed the ck sound, “ck“ sound, from the classical greek in the form of the letter kai.
later when this material was translated into a common european language, which is to say latin, they simply replaced the greek kai with the latin x. and once that happened, once this material was in latin, it formed the basis for mathematics textbooks for almost 600 years.
but now we have the answer to our question. why is it that x is the unknown? x is the unknown because you can't say “sh“ in spanish. (laughter) and i thought that was worth sharing.

为了庆祝苏州市职业大学成立30 周年，同时为了给同学们一个更好的展现自己风采的舞台，激发广大同学学习英语的热情，提高同学对英语口语的兴趣，营造一个良好的英语学习氛围，为更多的同学提供一个尽情挥洒创意，展现英语风采的舞台，管理工程系英语爱好者协会在得到老师和同学的支持下，于4月20日举行了“母校风采”英语演讲比赛，此次比赛主要针对在校大一大二的学生。大一学生参加的积极性很高，报名人数多，在我系大一学生新生中有一定的影响力，比赛设有多种奖项，给选手们提供了更多的表现机会，体现“公正，公开”的比赛原则。比赛荣幸地邀请了外籍老师John和Christing，团委学生会副主席沈金龙作为本次演讲比赛的评委，并且邀请外语系朱佳和管理系王慧芳作为本次比赛的主持人。英语爱好者协会会长和前任会长也列席观看。
对此次决赛之前，我部各班干事到各班进行宣传组织各班学生到赛场进行观看，以扩大演讲比赛的影响力。在接到系部的指示后，倾力策划并组织了这次活动的赛事。在学生会学习部的统筹下，把比赛中的各个环节与组织部、文艺部、宣传部合作，如此细致的分工合作，为本次比赛顺利进行奠定了基础。
这次比赛由演讲和才艺表演2个部分组成。在第一部分，大家表现得非常精彩，有的选手拥有出色的语音、语调；有的选手拥有激情和说服力；有的选手展示了自信的力量。大家都很好地传达了本次比赛的主题。同时也调动了同学们对学习英语的兴趣，提高同学们的英语口语能力和实用能力。
在正式比赛之前为体现“公平”原则，组织各参赛选手进行抽签，已决定各选手上场顺序。决赛结束后，比赛中参赛选手准备很充分，演讲也很投入，并且充分表现出了自我的特色，让观众深深地领略了他们潇洒的口语风采，值得一提的是有一位参赛选手主动提出问题与外教交流。评委对选手的表现进行了点评，指出了个选手在比赛过程中的不足和缺点，提出对同学们的期望，以及对同学们的鼓励，。现场的5位评委依公正的态度为每位参赛选手打分。其中有6位同学表现突出，依流利，纯正口语征服了评委和观众，在众多参赛选手当中脱颖而出，
经过评委的评比打分，最终角逐出：一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名，最佳人气奖1名，最佳才艺奖1名，以及优秀奖若干名。他们分别是

此次演讲比赛诣在提高规范同学们的口语，与此同时，也锻炼了同学们的英语表述能力，使同学们积累了演讲比赛的经验，为此以后的大型演讲比赛提供了可能，通过这次比赛，不仅仅让同学们发挥了自己的潜能，向所有人展示了自己，而且为今后的专业性比赛奠定了基础。
同时此次演讲比赛的成功举行，使我社全体干事对自己的工作进一步了认识和了解，对今后的工作充满了自信和动力，最后真诚地感谢系领导系学生会领导及所有同学对本次活动的支持，是你们的支持才有了此次活动的成功举办。
本届英语演讲比赛参赛选手水平普遍较高，他们在台上或抑扬顿挫，或激情澎湃。为保证选手们得到专业、公正的评判，比赛过程中，我们邀请的两位外教，他们不仅为选手们作出了专业评论，还使整场比赛在轻松活跃的气氛中顺利进行。
综上终结，本次英语演讲赛之所以能取的这么大的成功，主要得益于事先周密的安排，社团各部之间的齐心协力，同学们的积极参与以及学校团委的大力关心和支持，这是一次成功的比赛，是一次圆满的比赛！不仅让同学们从中学到了确实有用的东西，而且也为我校营造学习英语的良好氛围出了一份力，使我校呈现出更高的学习英语的浪潮。它对我们英语爱好者协会以后怎么样开展活动，开展什么样的活动有着重大的指导意义，为我们今后的工作打下了坚实的基础！

My hometown is very beautiful, there are many beautiful places, but my favorite is the banyan tree.
Spring, the banyan tree branches out grow pale green leaves, the grass under the tree leaned out of his head, as if to say: "the world is really big ah!" The flowers have opened smiling face, as if to say: "the world is really beautiful! I want to hurry and grow up." A breeze blowing, the banyan tree is say "hello" to us!
In summer, the banyan tree branches more lush and green, like the jade. We often to the banyan tree shade and playing. Banyan tree zhefengdangyu for us, for we are blocking the sun's radiation. The banyan tree is blocking our view of the blue sky, looked from a distance, like a big green umbrella, brings us a cool.
Autumn, banyan tree leaves turn yellow, autumn mother-in-law deeply breathed a sigh of relief. Banyan tree mother left their mother's arms, look! How sad they are! When I stepped on banyan tree after mother's baby, they will "sasha vujacic" to cry, don't they know it hurt? When I stepped on some hesitation, afraid to hurt it.
